The Society Manager
Service with Model Bye-Laws of Society

Dear Co-operative Housing Society Members
I have identified a common challenge faced by co-operative housing societies due to redevelopment and increased workload. My suggestion of appointing a Society Management Team on a paid basis, either part-time or full-time, is a practical solution to address the growing responsibilities and ensure the smooth functioning of the society.
Our comprehensive suite of professional services caters to a diverse clientele, ranging from homeowners to commercial developers.
Having a dedicated Society Management Team can alleviate the burden on individual members and streamline the execution of society-related tasks. This person could be responsible for various activities, including administrative tasks, financial management, coordination of events, and overall maintenance of the society. Their role could also involve liaising with contractors, ensuring compliance with regulations, and addressing members’ concerns.

Before implementing such a change, it may be beneficial to communicate with the members of the society and gauge their opinions on this proposal. Transparency and open discussion can help in gaining consensus and support for the idea. You may also want to explore the financial implications of hiring a Society Management Team and how the costs will be distributed among the members.
Additionally, it would be essential to define the scope of the Society Management Team responsibilities, establish clear communication channels, and ensure accountability. This way, the Society Management Team can effectively contribute to the well-being of the community without adding unnecessary burdens to individual members.
Overall, my observation and proposed solution demonstrate a proactive approach to addressing the evolving needs of co-operative housing societies in the face of redevelopment and increased workload.
